An air handling unit, also known as air handler, is a part of heating, ventilating and air-conditioning system mainly used to improve air quality and circulate air.
It is usually a large metal box inside which there is a blower, heating or cooling elements, filter racks or chambers, sound attenuators, and dampers.
Air handling unit is usually connected with ductwork through which conditioned air is distributed and returned to AHU.
